Mascoutin Trail

History
Mascoutin Trail's name dates back to the Mascoutin Indian Tribe.

- The Mascoutin Trail was formally part of the Milwaukee Road Railroad. The Ripon - Berlin segment of    the trail was acquired and developed in the 1970's.

-The Mascoutin trail section from Berlin heading southeast towards Ripon has recently undergone some renovations in the Green Lake County section making the trail more user friendly.
(see the Mascoutin section under the Projects tab)
The beauty of the natural surroundings make this trail a must for nature lovers.
Parking is available on Locust Street on the Ripon end and on street parking on County F in Berlin. There is also a parking lot on Quarry Road across the road from the Waste Management Plant.
Waste Management maintains a section of the trail.
- The trail is owned & maintained by 3 counties: Green Lake, Winnebago and Fond du Lac.
