Green Lake Greenways serves on an advisory committee created by East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning, Safe Routes to School. In May 2011, the very first Green Lake School District Walking School Bus rolled out with Dr. Barry Rogers and Dawn Morgan serving as route leaders and Lauree Renaud Walking School Bus Coordinator. Community members and parents serve as volunteers, making this program a success.

The Clay Lamberton wellness committee started a walking club for the first three weeks in November of 2011. In good weather, over 250 students K-5 participated. The wellness committee has plans to start the walking club up again in the Spring of 2012.
